An eight-month-old baby<\/a> and two toddlers have been rushed to hospital after a trailer from a vehicle flew off the road and hit a pram on the pavement.<\/p>\n

The horror incident<\/a> took place on October 13 at around 3.15pm on Pleasance Avenue in Dumfries and involved a trailer which is believed to have become detached from a Mitsubishi Outlander car.<\/p>\n

A probe has been launched and the road remains closed while cops<\/a> scour the scene.<\/p>\n

The baby, a 14-month old tot and 18-month old were first rushed to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary before being blue-lighted to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Glasgow<\/a> where there injuries are being assessed.<\/p>\n

An 18-year-old woman pushing the pram was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.<\/p>\n

Sergeant David Kerr, of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we would urge anyone who have witnessed it to come forward.<\/p>\n

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area.
