The Duchess of Sussex believes school pickups with Archie and Lilibet would’ve been difficult in the UK<\/p>\n
Prince William and Princess Kate may be raising the future of the monarchy, but their school run sounds surprisingly ordinary.<\/p>\n
In his candid chat with Eugene Levy on Apple TV+\u2019s The Reluctant Traveler, the Prince of Wales revealed that he and Kate make a daily effort to keep life grounded for Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. <\/p>\n
\u201cMost days we\u2019re in and out of school doing pick-ups and drop-offs,\u201d he said, adding that family always comes first \u2014 even when his royal schedule isn\u2019t exactly 9-to-5. <\/p>\n
William credited his late mother, Princess Diana, for inspiring his desire to give his children a \u201crelatively normal home life.\u201d<\/p>\n
Across the Atlantic, William\u2019s estranged sister-in-law Meghan Markle shares that same sentiment of wanting normalcy for her kids, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4\u00a0\u2014 something she couldn’t have had in the UK.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In a 2022 interview with The Cut, the Duchess of Sussex reportedly claimed that \u201cif Archie were in school in the UK, she\u2019d never be able to do school pickup and drop-off without it being a royal photo call with a press pen of 40 people snapping pictures.\u201d <\/p>\n
Now living in California with her husband Prince Harry, the former Suits actress is able to do pick-ups and drop-offs with more ease. <\/p>\n
Speaking on The Jamie Kern Lima Show back in April, Meghan opened up about how her mornings begin at 6:30 a.m. and often stretch to 9 by the time both kids are dropped off at \u201ctwo different schools.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
