A man has been charged with murder after another man died following a \u2018stabbing\u2019 in Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Barry Davison suffered knife injuries in Uplands Road in Handsworth<\/a> on Saturday (October 11) night and despite the efforts of emergency crews nothing could be done to save him.<\/p>\n

His daughter described the 48-year-old as a \u2018kind and caring\u2019 dad who \u2018genuinely had a heart of gold\u2019 in a heartfelt tribute which can be read in full here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, West Midlands Police<\/a> has confirmed Stewart McInnes, 43, has been charged with Mr Davison\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n

McInnes is set to appear before Birmingham magistrates on Tuesday (October 14).<\/p>\n

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: \u201cA man has been charged with the murder of Barry Davison.<\/p>\n

\u201cStewart McInnes, 43, will be appearing before Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday) charged with murder.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were called by ambulance colleagues to Uplands Road, Handsworth, shortly before 10pm on Saturday (11 October).<\/p>\n

\u201cBarry, aged 48, was found with stab injuries, and he was sadly confirmed dead at the scene a short time later.\u201d<\/p>\n
