Keith Urban complained about being \u201clonely and miserable\u201d while on tour before he and Nicole Kidman called it quits on their 19-year marriage. <\/a><\/p>\n

The country music star reflected on the hardships of touring in an upcoming episode of his competition series, \u201cThe Road,\u201d according to the Daily Mail. <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWhere do we start?\u201d Urban, 57, asks in the episode, which premieres on Oct. 19. \u201cIt\u2019s a calling, and you\u2019re going to do it or you\u2019re not going to make it.\u201d <\/p>\n

Keith Urban addressed his \u201clonely and miserable\u201d life on tour before his breakup from Nicole Kidman. CBS<\/p>\n

He spoke about his struggles as a musician on his upcoming series, \u201cThe Road.\u201d CBS<\/p>\n

The \u201cYou\u2019ll Think of Me\u201d singer explains that the show must always go on \u2014 regardless of how he\u2019s feeling.<\/p>\n

He reflects, \u201cWhen you wake up on a tour bus at 3:30 in the morning and you\u2019re sick as a dog, you\u2019re in the middle of nowhere and you\u2019ve got to play your fifth show later that night, and you haven\u2019t slept, and you miss your friends, and you\u2019re missing your family, and you\u2019re completely lonely and miserable and sick \u2014 and you say to yourself, \u2018Why am I doing this?’\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only answer can be: Because this is what I\u2019m born to do,\u201d he continues.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a calling, and you\u2019re going to do it or you\u2019re not going to make it,\u201d Urban said. CBS<\/p>\n

\u201cYou miss your friends, and you\u2019re missing your family, and you\u2019re completely lonely and miserable and sick \u2014 and you say to yourself, \u2018Why am I doing this?’\u201d he added. CBS<\/p>\n

The CBS and Paramount+ series follows 12 artists competing as opening acts for Urban at music venues across the country.<\/p>\n

Urban\u2019s candid comments about his struggles on tour surfaced just weeks after Page Six confirmed that he and Kidman had separated.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes relationships just run their course,\u201d a source told us in September, adding that Kidman, 58, \u201cdid not want the separation and was trying to save things.\u201d<\/p>\n

TMZ reported at the time that Urban had moved out of their family home and that Kidman was taking care of their daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. (Kidman also shares two adult children <\/a>with her first husband, Tom Cruise.)<\/p>\n

\u201c[Kidman is] holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone,\u201d a source told the outlet, referring to his current tour.<\/p>\n

Days later, rumors swirled that Urban and his guitarist, Maggie Baugh<\/a>, were romantically involved after clips of the two musicians looking flirty onstage<\/a> surfaced online. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Maggie\u2019s father, Chuck Baugh, denied the speculation,<\/a> telling the Daily Mail, \u201cI don\u2019t know anything about it, other than she\u2019s a guitar player for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s more of a musician thing than a dating thing,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a clip resurfaced of Maggie saying she was against band romances. <\/a><\/p>\n

The exes share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. FilmMagic<\/p>\n

While Kidman has not directly addressed their split, she did share a message about her resilience<\/a> in an interview with Harper\u2019s Bazaar published last week.<\/p>\n

Cracks between Kidman and Urban started to show in June when Urban abruptly ended a Zoom interview<\/a> after he was asked about Kidman\u2019s steamy love scenes with Zac Efron in the 2024 Netflix movie, \u201cA Family Affair.\u201d<\/p>\n
