EastEnders’ Zoe Slater resorts to thieving from her own mum next week, as she becomes ever more determined to find her long-lost son. After Kat Slater promises to help Zoe track down the surviving twin that she gave up for adoption nearly 20 years ago<\/a>, the landlady is furious to find that her eldest has gone behind her back and swiped money from the pub till.<\/p>\n

Can Kat forgive her daughter for her act of desperation \u2013 or will Zoe’s selfish act jeopardise the help that Kat kindly offered?<\/p>\n

Before Kat discovers her daughter’s betrayal, Zoe makes it clear that she’s intent on hiring a private investigator to track her son down. Kat points out that Sharon \u2013 who’s agreed to pay for the sleuth<\/a> following Zoe’s claims that the boy was fathered by Sharon’s ex-husband Dennis Rickman<\/a> \u2013 is out of town. <\/p>\n

Refusing to be deterred, Zoe heads off to meet a PI. Meanwhile, Kat has realised that Zoe’s had her fingers in the till \u2013 so she follows Zoe to her clandestine meeting for a showdown and gets more than she bargained for when her daughter lies to the investigator.<\/p>\n

Back on the Square, Kat tells Alfie that Zoe will have to leave if she can’t set a good example \u2013 but Zoe overhears this. The pair struggle to put their differences to one side, but a distraction presents itself after a stray kitten becomes trapped inside The Vic!<\/p>\n

Thankfully, Zoe rescues the cute moggy before finally sorting things out with her mum. However, the truce between Zoe and Kat doesn’t last for long, as Zoe finally responds to Kat’s nagging with a shocking outburst.<\/p>\n
