Justin Trudeau\u2019s estranged wife, Sophie Gr\u00e9goire Trudeau, shared a cryptic message about letting go of love that is not \u201cmeant to be kept\u201d after he was seen getting hot and heavy with Katy Perry.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThe people, the places [and] even the moments that once felt infinite \u2014 time asks us to not cling to them and yet we do,\u201d the former TV host shared in an Instagram video <\/a>Monday. <\/p>\n

\u201cI do, because to hold on feels safer than to let go,\u201d she continued. \u201cBut love was never about possession. It was always about presence.\u201d <\/p>\n

Sophie, 50, believes that when people \u201crelease\u201d what they \u201ccannot keep,\u201d they, in turn, make space for \u201cthe truth of connection, intimacy, the memory \u2026 and the lesson.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cGrief also lives there,\u201d she added, explaining that her father recently died and she\u2019s learned that \u201cgrief also comes [with] grace.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo maybe love\u2019s deepest teaching is \u2026 to stand open-hearted in the face of impermanence,\u201d she mused. \u201cTo honor what has been and trust that letting go is also a form of keeping inside us, where no loss can erase it in a way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is love\u2019s endurance,\u201d she concluded. \u201cThat is what carries us forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Justin, 53, and Sophie announced they were separating<\/a> after 18 years of marriage in August 2023 after \u201cmany meaningful and difficult conversations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Justin has since moved on from their breakup with Perry. <\/a>The duo was first romantically linked in July when they were photographed on a dinner date <\/a>in Montreal.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDark Horse\u201d singer, 40, had called it quits with her the-fianc\u00e9, Orlando Bloom, <\/a>one month prior. The exes had been together for 10 years and continue to co-parent their 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.<\/p>\n
