Former South African pacer and commentator Shaun Pollock<\/a> singled out Rohit\u2019s revival as the “coolest” resurgence of the week in the IPL.

“Yeah, it\u2019s definitely got to be Rohit Sharma, doesn\u2019t it?” said Pollock on Cricbuzz. “We were just hoping that he would come good at the top of the order and he’s managed to do so. First time he\u2019s got back-to-back fifties in nine years \u2014 the last time was in 2016 \u2014 but he’s produced at the right time for Mumbai. They’re peaking at the right time, and if he can carry on this kind of form, it\u2019s going to give them a real big chance.”<\/p>\n

Pollock also praised the impact of Rohit\u2019s presence on the rest of the lineup. “If he just has that extra performance, the legend of Rohit Sharma with someone like Ryan Rickelton, it adds impetus at the top. He\u2019s got so much power, so much lethal hitting in the top and middle overs \u2014 if he fires, it changes the game.”
Rohit was also seen contributing in the field for the full four overs after a brief absence due to injury niggles earlier this season \u2014 another positive sign for MI.<\/p>\n
