Queen Camilla delights King as she opens Clarence House doors for children<\/p>\n

Queen Camilla is stepping up in her royal role as King Charles is embroiled in new turmoil following the visit of his son Prince Harry.<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex met with his father at Clarence House last month nearly two years after in a private tea, where the father and son even exchanged gifts. What seemed like a step in the right direction to a reconciliation has been marred by new tension as Harry revived his security case.<\/p>\n

Camilla is seemingly taking steps to lighten up the mood as she is hosting a reception on Tuesday at their residence, Clarence House.<\/p>\n

The Queen, who is the Patron of BookTrust, will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the UK\u2019s largest children\u2019s reading charity. Friends and supporters of BookTrust are invited.<\/p>\n

President of BookTrust Sir Michael Morpurgo, Children\u2019s Laureate Frank Cottrell-Boyce and authors Dame Floella Benjamin, Richard Osman, Sir Philip Pullman, Dame Julia Donaldson and Malorie Blackman are also noted in the guestlist. <\/p>\n

One more special guest, much to the delight of the children, will be making an appearance: Peter Rabbit.<\/p>\n
