After suffering the disappointment of a retirement during his first start in the premier class, he quickly got his points flowing. At the end of the Japanese Grand Prix, he pocketed the 4 points for eighth place. He would repeat the feat of finishing in the top-10 five times in the first half of the season.

And what about the championship’s resumption? At the Dutch Grand Prix, Isack Hadjar snatched a 4th place in Qualifying in the rain, to convert the attempt on Sunday, and secure his first podium in Formula 1. In Italy and Azerbaijan, he gained another point each time. With a string of finishes in the points, Isack Hadjar is getting closer to a record of Max Verstappen in the stable.

Can Hadjar overtake Verstappen and Vettel?

During his first season in the discipline, the four-time world champion – who passed through the Faenza structure when it was still operating under the name of Toro Rosso – had recorded a total of 10 appearances in the points. Isack Hadjar already has eight.

Another target for the Tricolore: Sebastian Vettel. During his first full season in F1, with Toro Rosso in 2008, he finished in the top ten times. The only difference? Of the ten top 10s the German tallied, only nine contributed to his tally. At the time, only the top eight took home points. His ninth place in China therefore counted as a blank. However, among his list of results, he can boast of having achieved one victory, in Italy.

With six rounds remaining in 2025, including the first this weekend on the Circuit of the Americas, Isack Hadjar could well have the best rookie season in the history of his team in terms of his ability to regularly increase his score.

ALSO READ > Isack Hadjar finishes the Singapore GP outside the points: “We were losing everywhere”

There is no doubt that Isack Hadjar is having an impressive first season in Formula 1.
