Liverpool\u2019s first game back after the international break is set to come against Manchester United. <\/strong><\/p>\n

No matter what sort of form either team is in, every time they face one another, fireworks often occur. <\/p>\n

Sometimes that can result in Liverpool<\/a> beating the Red Devils 7-0, and at others, it can end up being a hard-fought draw. <\/p>\n

Sunday\u2019s game isn\u2019t likely to be any different, but with both teams in a run of poor form, it\u2019s genuinely going to be interesting to see how the game ends up.<\/p>\n

For many of Liverpool\u2019s players, this will be their first derby between the clubs, with one of Arne Slot\u2019s<\/a> new signings likely looking to prove his worth. <\/p>\n

Jeremie Frimpong will be able to prove what Chris Sutton said about him wrong v Manchester United <\/p>\n

Jeremie Frimpong\u2019s form has been well below the standard expected<\/a> of him. <\/p>\n

Last season alone, the right-back contributed to over 10 goals across all competitions, but this term, it feels like the only thing he has about him is his pace. <\/p>\n

Fans have started to notice that, between Conor Bradley and Frimpong, it\u2019s not clear who their first-choice right-back is<\/a>, despite being almost 10 games into the season. <\/p>\n

Indeed, injuries have to be taken into account, but even they shouldn\u2019t have set him this far back. <\/p>\n

In fact, when Liverpool were beaten by Crystal Palace a couple of weeks ago, Chris Sutton suggested that Slot wasn\u2019t all that keen on him<\/a> due to his \u201cpoor defending.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, against Man United on Sunday, this could all change. <\/p>\n

Jeremie Frimpong could exploit Luke Shaw at left-back and help keep Matheus Cunha or Amad Diallo under control<\/p>\n

One of the key areas of Frimpong\u2019s game is the attacking prowess he brings to the table. <\/p>\n

The defender started out as a right-winger, but under Xabi Alonso<\/a>, he was transformed into one of the most sought-after full-backs in the world. <\/p>\n

His goal contributions, coupled with his lightning-quick speed, are second to none and could allow Mohamed Salah<\/a> to drop back a little more than he has been doing. <\/p>\n

And, the fact that Ruben Amorim doesn\u2019t know who his best left-sided attacker is means that, no matter who\u2019s used there, Frimpong can help keep them under control. <\/p>\n

Luke Shaw is also very likely to play, and the fact that former Manchester United man Paul Parker has even admitted that the Englishman is lazy<\/a> means that both Frimpong and Salah can try and exploit the left-hand side of United\u2019s defence. <\/p>\n
