UK training provider QA has partnered with a California-based tech company to help deliver on the UK government\u2019s commitment to train 100,000 developers in AI by 2030.\u00a0<\/p>\n

QA will now deliver NVIDIA\u2019s AI training, alongside its own authored courses, to upskill developers and support the expansion of AI capabilities nationwide.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It comes after the UK government signed a\u00a0Memorandum of Understanding<\/a>\u00a0with NVIDIA in June, agreeing to collaborate on an AI workforce development plan for Britain.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Their aim is to create an AI talent pipeline across all parts of the UK, including underrepresented communities, and covering all stages of education from pre-university, university and doctoral students, to public servants, apprentices and mid-career professionals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In doing so, the UK hopes to become a global leader in AI, the MoU suggests.\u00a0<\/p>\n

QA will provide the NVIDIA training through NVIDIA\u2019s \u2018Deep Learning Institute\u2019 (DLI), while its own training portfolio is integrated with certification from the US company.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, attracting international AI talent is another priority for the UK \u2013 as highlighted in the government\u2019s\u00a0AI Opportunities Action plan<\/a>\u00a0published in January this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It recommended that the government establish an \u201cinternal headhunting capability\u201d to bring a small number of elite individuals to the UK, and explore how the existing immigration system can be used to attract graduates from universities producing some of the world\u2019s top AI talent.\u00a0<\/p>\n

UK ministers have said that implementation of the plan is\u00a0\u201cwell underway\u201d.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n
