\n Follows issues with ‘grey water’ in River Neb\n <\/p>\n

Manx Utilities says it’s carried out a ‘full clean’ at St John’s sewage works which had been causing issues in a tributary of the River Neb.<\/p>\n

Earlier this summer, the Isle of Man Friends of the Earth group highlighted an area where ‘grey water’ was being discharged.<\/p>\n

The MUA says it’s since carried out an investigation and found issues with an old filter bed system, which is due to be upgraded ‘as quickly as possible’.<\/p>\n

The authority collects samples from the discharge zone every two weeks. This will now be carried out weekly, instead.<\/p>\n
