attack in years to come.

The Reds have always been shrewd operators in the transfer market and can pick up the next big thing for a fairly reasonable price.

One reason for this is because they plan ahead, with their scouting department making moves early so they can study a player over a long period of time.

<img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="40" notice.

Although there is no doubting he is a fantastic player, there is one individual at <a href="https://www.rousingthekop.com/club/" target="_blank" FC/Liverpool FC via Getty ImagesRio Ngumoha is the future of Liverpool

Yildiz has scored three goals for Turkey this week during their World Cup qualifiers, all coming from the left-wing.

This has been a bit of a problem position at the start of the season for Liverpool, with Luis Diaz departing and Cody Gakpo failing to grasp his opportunity with both hands.

Their options in this department are also limited, hence why Yildiz might be seen by some as a good addition, but there is one glaringly obvious reason why they should not sign him.

Rio Ngumoha is the other option, with the 17-year-old an exciting prospect with the world at his feet.

He has already had a few chances in the first-team and even scored his first goal for the club, suggesting that despite his age, he is ready for some more opportunities.

However, if Yildiz does come in, then Ngumoha could see his pathway blocked, especially as the 20-year-old is much further ahead in his development.

This is something that simply cannot happen as all the hype around the Englishman suggests he could be a hugely important player going forward, proven by the fact Liverpool were desperate to offer him his first professional contract as soon as possible.

READ MORE: <a found an ‘outstanding’ player who can finally replace Virgil van Dijk

Ngumoha has also played Champions League football and is expected to get plenty more minutes in cup competitions, showing how the Reds need to put all their faith in the youngster rather than looking elsewhere.

Rio Ngumoha could even start in the Premier League

Gakpo is another player who has shone for his country this week after scoring three and assisting one, although his performances for Liverpool have been much less impressive.

The Dutchman has four goal involvements so far, although three of these came in the opening few games, with his form of late dipping significantly.

This has led to fans saying Gakpo needs to be dropped, with this potentially seeing Ngumoha get the chance.

Despite not being out-and-out wingers, Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz might get the nod ahead of the 17-year-old, though, but if things continue not to work, then why shouldn’t Ngumoha get the opportunity?

Either way, he will get his shot at one point, and based on everything he has shown so far, it would be no surprise to see him take it.

Liverpool will be thinking about the next young forward who could revolutionise their attack in years to
