{"id":502237,"date":"2025-10-15T19:23:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T19:23:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/502237\/"},"modified":"2025-10-15T19:23:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T19:23:11","slug":"scotlands-asian-restaurant-awards-2025-see-the-full-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/502237\/","title":{"rendered":"Scotland\u2019s Asian Restaurant Awards 2025: See the full list"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Asian restaurants across Scotland were shortlisted earlier in the year through a series of public votes, and then narrowed down to just 24 winners.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The winners included Shimla Dining who won Curry Champion of the Year, and Muhammad Sultan who was awarded special recognition for his charity work with the homeless in Glasgow, and his international aid work year-round.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <strong>READ MORE:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenational.scot\/news\/25545516.work-shy-william-call-honesty-royals-lazy-work-schedule\/?ref=ed_latest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&#8216;Work-shy William&#8217;: Call for honesty over royals&#8217; &#8216;lazy&#8217; work schedule<\/strong><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The awards, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow, were attended by over 400 guests and hosted by Dr Zubir Ahmed, Labour MP for Glasgow South West, and UK Minister for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenational.scot\/news\/health\/?ref=au\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Health<\/a> and Social Care. It was organised by the Asian Catering Foundation.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The awards were presented by BBC News Presenter Samantha Simmonds and the 2025 runner up in the BBC\u2019s hit series, The Apprentice, Anisa Khan.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  On announcing the winners, Asian Catering Federation chairman Yawar Khan called out &#8220;the damaging new immigration rules in the UK,&#8221; describing the impact he believes these could have on Asian cuisine.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThe Asian Restaurant Awards in Glasgow are a key event for our industry. Not only do they recognise the excellence of Asian and Oriental restaurants in Scotland, but they also celebrate the significant contribution our industry makes to the economy thanks to the hard work of all the businesses involved,&#8221;
