A mind-bending sci-fi horror movie directed by Grammy winning artist\u00a0Flying Lotus<\/strong>\u00a0(V\/H\/S\/99,\u00a0Kuso),\u00a0Ash<\/strong> was released in theaters on March 21 from RLJE Films and Shudder, and it\u2019s now available at home. Rent it now for $19.99 or purchase it for $24.99.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Eiza Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>\u00a0(Baby Driver) and\u00a0Aaron Paul<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cBreaking Bad\u201d) star in the sci-fi horror film\u00a0alongside\u00a0Iko Uwais<\/strong>\u00a0(The Raid),\u00a0Beulah Koale<\/strong>\u00a0(Shadow in the Cloud),\u00a0Kate Elliott<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cXena: Warrior Princess\u201d), and Flying Lotus.\u00a0Jonni Remmler\u00a0<\/strong>wrote the film.<\/p>\n

On the mysterious planet of Ash, Riya (Gonz\u00e1lez) awakens to find her crew slaughtered. When a man named Brion (Paul) arrives to rescue her, an ordeal of psychological and physical terror ensues while Riya and Brion must decide if they can trust one another to survive.<\/p>\n

Nate Bolotin<\/strong>\u00a0(The Raid, Mandy) and\u00a0Mathew Metcalfe<\/strong>\u00a0produce, while filmmaker\u00a0Neill Blomkamp<\/strong>\u00a0(District 9) serves as an executive producer. Expect it on Shudder later this year.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cStranger Things\u201d star\u00a0Finn Wolfhard<\/strong>\u00a0is the co-writer, co-director and star of the throwback slasher, with\u00a0Billy Bryk<\/strong>\u00a0(Ghostbusters: Afterlife) co-writing and also starring.<\/p>\n

Hell of a Summer\u00a0follows 24-year-old camp counselor Jason Hochberg (Fred Hechinger<\/strong>), who arrives at Camp Pineway thinking his biggest problem is that he feels out of touch with his teenage co-workers. What he doesn\u2019t know is that a masked killer is lurking on the campgrounds, brutally picking counselors off one by one.<\/p>\n

In the new horror movie from Dark Sky, \u201cAfter a personal tragedy, Miranda explores unconventional self-help methods, only to learn from a spiritual healer that she has an infection of her aura called a \u2018KILLGRIN\u2019, which thrives off her misery.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn an eerie, deceptively placid near-future, a techno-entrepreneur named Karsh (Vincent Cassel<\/strong>) has developed a new software that will allow the bereaved to bear witness to the gradual decay of loved ones dead and buried in the earth. Janus Films previews, \u201cWritten following the death of the director\u2019s wife, the new film from David Cronenberg is a profoundly personal reckoning with grief and a descent into noir-tinged dystopia, set in an ominous world of self-driving cars, data theft, and A.I. personal assistants. Offering Cronenberg\u2019s customary balance of malevolence and wit,\u00a0The Shrouds\u00a0is a sly and thought-provoking consideration of the corporeal and the digital, the mortal and the infinite.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the two develop a strangely deep connection, Shoo is consumed by the old woman\u2019s paranoia, rituals, and superstitions, eventually confronting the horrors from her own past.<\/p>\n
