An ‘unforgettable’ Christmas is promised at Dunham Massey with the return of its spectacular lights trail.<\/p>\n

The after-dark illuminated trail has become a cherished attraction over the years and this year promises an array of ‘enchanting new light installations, alongside beloved favourites’.<\/p>\n

The historic National Trust estate will be transformed into a ‘glittering wonderland’, blending light, sound and storytelling to create ‘a spellbinding evening experience for all ages’.<\/p>\n

Among the highlights of Christmas at Dunham Massey is the return of the giant festive projections that once illuminated the historic hall, back for the first time in more than three years and certain to be a focal point for visitors.<\/p>\n

A 30-metre long Christmas<\/a> Cathedral will once again provide ‘a show-stopping’ moment of golden light, while Tis The Season by Output Arts will adorn the trees with neon baubles inspired by the mid-century decorations still held in the estate\u2019s own collection.<\/p>\n

Other new additions include Shatter, a spectacular arrangement of 50 illuminated shards reaching up to four metres high, and The Fish are Jumping, described as ‘a joyful creation of 20 leaping fish by Dutch artists TOER Studio’.<\/p>\n

Dynamic pixel trees, glowing stars and atmospheric pixel banners will add fresh depth and colour throughout the grounds, while the expanded fire garden will flicker with more than 100 flames and lanterns.<\/p>\n

Alongside these new features, guests can look forward to the iconic tunnel of lights, larger-than-life illuminated flowers, and the ever-popular appearances by Father Christmas.<\/p>\n

A selection of hand-picked street food vendors will be on-site and visitors can warm up with a spiced winter drink, enjoy a rich hot chocolate, or sample toasted marshmallows.<\/p>\n

Tickets are allocated by staggered trail start times, with the earliest available from 4.15pm. The trail is approximately one mile long and it’s recommended to allow an hour to two hours for your visit.<\/p>\n

The event runs on selected dates from November 14 to January 3. Tickets, costing from \u00a317 for adults and from \u00a312.50 for children (under twos free), can be purchased here<\/a>.
