A man has been arrested after a victim had a ‘substance thrown at them’ from a vehicle in Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> are probing an incident on Sutton New Road, Erdington<\/a>, shortly after 8pm on Wednesday, October 8.<\/p>\n

A member of the public was left with liquid on them and was taken to hospital for checks.<\/p>\n

A 21-year-old man was held in connection with the incident.<\/p>\n

He has since been bailed pending further police inquiries.<\/p>\n

Police said there was no wider risk to the public.<\/p>\n

A police spokesman told BirminghamLive: “We were called after a substance was thrown from a vehicle on Sutton New Road, Erdington<\/a>, shortly after 8pm on Wednesday 8 October.<\/p>\n

“A member of the public was left with liquid on them and was taken to hospital for checks.<\/p>\n

“A man aged 21 was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.<\/p>\n

“There was no wider risk to the public at the scene but our investigation into the circumstances around what happened, and the liquid involved, is continuing.<\/p>\n
