Manchester City star Oscar Bobb has been torn to shreds by Norway boss\u00a0Stale Solbakken after his side\u2019s 1-1 draw with New Zealand on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Norway beat Israel 5-0 on Saturday to retain their 100 per cent record in the World Cup qualifiers as they sit top of Group I ahead of Italy.<\/p>\n
Bobb<\/a><\/strong> earned his 13th cap in that game as Erling Haaland bagged yet another hat-trick to push their goal difference to an absurd +26 after just six games.<\/p>\n A video then emerged of the 22-year-old in training being criticised by City teammate Haaland.\u00a0\u201cOscar. Oscar. Oscar, please can\u2019t you start running?\u201d Haaland said.<\/p>\n And his lack of work-rate against New Zealand was highlighted by Solbakken after the friendly, in a brutal public dressing down by the Norway manager.<\/p>\n Solbakken told reporters, via VG: \u201cHe was very poor in the first half. He is lacking everything.<\/p>\n \u201cHe takes too long with the ball, positions himself strangely and doesn\u2019t press well. He\u2019s done that in training and been very good at it.<\/p>\n \u201cBut if you ask Oscar, I think he\u2019ll say that the first half was his weakest performance for the national team. The second half was the next weakest.\u201d<\/p>\n MORE MANCHESTER CITY COVERAGE ON F365<\/strong> Solbakken did though insist that this performance was out of the norm for Bobb and that \u201cit\u2019s not a concern\u201d.<\/p>\n Solbakken added: \u201cI\u2019m not wasting any energy on that. He has performed very, very well in almost every game, both further up the pitch and further out. It\u2019s not a concern.\u201d<\/p>\n Bobb later admitted his manager\u2019s thoughts were reasonable, responding: \u201cIt\u2019s a fair assessment.\u201d<\/p>\n Haaland was sent away from the Norway squad for the clash with New Zealand along with other \u2018players with particularly tight match schedules\u2019, but was\u00a0asked about potentially playing in the World Cup next summer before he left.<\/p>\n Haaland said: \u201cI don\u2019t think I\u2019ll say too much about that (World Cup chances). I\u2019m just focused on winning the next match. That was my mindset in the last game, and it still is now.\u201d<\/p>\n
