If you’re living under a rock, Nintendo fully unveiled its upcoming console, Switch 2<\/a>, last week \u2014 and now, Sony wants to know your thoughts.<\/p>\n

Yes, PlayStation is curious to know what you made of Nintendo’s Switch 2 Direct presentation, as well as the device itself.<\/p>\n

Known leaker eXtas1s has shared images of a survey going out to PSN account holders, questioning people about Nintendo’s imminent hardware release:<\/p>\n

Sony is asking how interested you are in buying a Switch 2; whether your opinion has changed regarding Nintendo, Sony, or others; what aspects of Switch 2 are you most interested in; what do you think of the strict pre-order process; and so on.<\/p>\n

Surveys like these aren’t uncommon whenever major new products are in the pipeline, but whether Sony acts on the data it receives is impossible to know.<\/p>\n

As a platform holder, it’s reasonable to expect Sony is interested in what its audience finds appealing about the competition.<\/p>\n

We know that Sony has found a surprising level of success<\/a> with its cloud-based handheld peripheral PS Portal, and rumour has it that, alongside the PS6 home console, there will be a companion handheld device<\/a>, allowing you to take your PlayStation library on the go.<\/p>\n

So, there’s every possibility that Sony is plotting the return to handheld games of some degree, but what we know for certain is that it’s keen to learn what you reckon about the Switch 2.<\/p>\n
