A huge Manchester band could be about to make a big announcement and homecoming fans think it’s going to be local(Image: Lytham Festival)<\/p>\n
A massive Manchester band<\/a> has sparked excitement amongst their fans after teasing that a big announcement is on the horizon.<\/p>\n Earlier today (October 16), Courteeners<\/a> shared a post on Instagram to their 52,500 followers which led fans to say they \u2018can\u2019t cope\u2019. Featuring a neon pink outline of the UK map, the video zoomed in as an flashing arrow pointed towards the Greater Manchester area.<\/p>\n The short clip then ended with the caption: \u201cSee you on the 17th. 17.10.25.” As expected, it was enough to send fans into hyperdrive as they came up with their own theories and ideas on what could be set to take place tomorrow.<\/p>\n Whilst it\u2019s likely to be an announcement or reveal of some kind, a number of fans believe it could potentially be teasing a show at Heaton Park<\/a>. One person asked: \u201c10 years since Mapping The Rendezvous\u2026 Heaton Park again?\u201d<\/p>\n Stay connected with our City Life newsletter here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Another wrote: \u201cHeaton Park – Falcon in full. Heard it here first.\u201d Echoing a similar sentiment, another simply said: \u201cHeaton Park i dare you to.”<\/p>\n Others felt the map was pointing more in the region of Warrington<\/a>, where the Neighbourhood Weekender takes place at Victoria Park in May. This year, the festival was headlined by James, with The Wombats, The Reytons, Amy McDonald and Ocean Colour Scene also making up the bill.<\/p>\n Pointing it out as a contender, one fan wrote: \u201cArrow straight to Warrington @nbhdweekender.” Another said: “100% NBHD, they were teasing an announcement last week.” One added: \u201cUnfortunately me thinks that points to Warrington and not Manchester.\u201d<\/p>\n One fan also submitted the video into ChatGPT to find out what the AI service predicted. Recognising the arrow was ‘positioned slightly to the east of central Manchester’, it suggested the Etihad Stadium<\/a> or Co-op Live<\/a> as contenders too.<\/p>\n Caring slightly less about the venue of choice, some fans pointed out how it could potentially be a good week for music with Australian rock band DMA\u2019s having recently announced tour dates too. One person commented: \u201cDmas booked yesterday, this today I can\u2019t cope.\u201d<\/p>\n Another said: \u201cCourteeners and DMAs coming back in the same week? What in the 2019 indie twitter is going on here?\u201d One added: \u201cDMAS yesterday and now this ffs.\u201d Another commented: \u201cMate next year has got some serious potential.\u201d<\/p>\n The Middleton<\/a>-based band, which is led by Liam Fray, broke out onto the scene in 2006 and released their debut album St. Jude in 2008. Ten years ago, the Courteeners were named as one of the greatest Manchester bands of all time by Radio x, coming in fifth place in their list.<\/p>\n In 2015, the band played Heaton Park with a show that was supported by a number of acts including Blossoms.
