A Manchester tot has amazed pub-goers with his snooker skills and has already bagged his first sponsorship – all at the tender age of two.<\/p>\n

Two-year-old Jude, from Manchester, was introduced to the sport by his father Luke, 35, who himself grew up playing snooker.<\/p>\n

“I was brought up on it by my dad so I wanted to push it on Jude a little bit,” he told the M.E.N. “Like if you support United, you want your kids to do the same.<\/p>\n

“I bought him a little mini table and from the start he just showed a natural ability, and it’s escalated from there.<\/p>\n

“Eventually I took him to the pub and he was playing with half an adult cue – they don’t even make cues for kids his age.<\/p>\n

“Initially I thought he might be able to pot some balls? Now he’s doing trick shots. It’s getting a bit silly.”<\/p>\n

Luke has since created a social media presence for his son<\/a> to chronicle his progress – and has since had several posts go viral, with commenters and pub-goers alike amazed by his skill.<\/p>\n

“We film videos in the pub and I often have to mute them or put music over them, ’cause there’s people in the background going, ‘oh my god’ or cheering,” said Luke. “He still blows me away.<\/p>\n

“We’ve had a few trolls online saying they were easy shots so I’ve made them harder and he still pots them. He just takes to it like a duck to water, he’s a natural.”<\/p>\n

Jude now has a special stool to allow him to reach the table, a proper cue ‘so he gets cleaner contact with the ball’ and even his very first sponsor, Cue + Case, who sent him a special branded shirt.<\/p>\n

“I’ve had a few offers for him to play in tournaments but he doesn’t understand the rules yet,” said Luke. “He’ll pick up the white or try and pot it sometimes, he doesn’t quite get the concept.”<\/p>\n

“From others I have spoken to in the world of snooker, him having this skill so young a very unique thing that no-one has really heard of. I feel like he can only go onwards and upwards.”<\/p>\n

Although Jude’s future looks bright, Luke said he has no plans to put undue pressure on his son.<\/p>\n

“I’d love for him to make it in snooker but I want to keep it fun for him and make sure it’s enjoyable,” he said. “He does enjoy it, he will ask to go and play ‘big snooks’ as he calls it.<\/p>\n

“‘Cause he’s so little, his attention span is pretty short so he will do a few shots and then he has a break. But if people are watching, he likes to show off, he likes a crowd.<\/p>\n

“People have asked if I’m going to get him a coach but it’s too early yet. I want him to have character and his own personality outside of snooker.<\/p>\n

“There’s a lot in the news that is not very positive so I wanted to share our story. One day I hope we can play together.”<\/p>\n
