President Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a> was apparently trying to get some hot gossip from Queen Camilla<\/strong><\/a> during his trip to the U.K. last month.<\/p>\n

Royal expert Tom Sykes<\/strong> reported in his The Royalist newsletter on Thursday, October 16, that Trump, 79, allegedly brought up Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a> around the royal family.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s the gossip on Meghan then? What\u2019s going on there?\u201d Sykes reported Trump said. In his commentary about the rather informal discussion Sykes quipped that Trump \u201cwould have liked an exclusive update.\u201d (Wouldn\u2019t we all?)<\/p>\n

Us Weekly reached out to Buckingham Palace and the White House for comment.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tPresident Donald Trump might have made a minor snafu during his speech at the state banquet in the U.K. In video footage from his speech at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, September 17, Trump, 79, looked at Princess Kate Middleton while thanking \u201cvery, very special\u201d Queen Camilla. The moment caused royal watchers to wonder if he [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

President Trump and his wife, Melania Trump<\/strong>, made their second state visit<\/a> to the U.K. last month. The two-day trip kicked off with the president and first lady being greeted by Prince William<\/strong> and Princess Kate Middleton<\/strong>. Eventually, Camilla and King Charles III<\/strong> joined the family for a carriage-led processional around the Windsor Castle grounds.<\/p>\n

Trump honored the late Queen Elizabeth II<\/strong> during his visit before the evening\u2019s state dinner \u2014 in which he spoke, thanking the royal family for their hospitality.<\/p>\n

\u201cMelania and I are delighted to visit again with Prince William and to see Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine, so radiant and so healthy, so beautiful,\u201d Trump said at the time. He spoke so highly of William that some royal watchers even believed that Trump was subtly throwing shade<\/a> at Prince Harry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to say that His Majesty has also raised a remarkable son in His Royal Highness, Prince of Wales. Really amazing,\u201d Trump\u2019s speech continued at the event, which took place on September 17. \u201cWe\u2019ve gotten to know you and I think you\u2019re going to have unbelievable success in future.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not too much of a shock that Harry and Meghan were left out of the official conversation between Trump and the royal family. The president has not minced words about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex since they relocated to the United States in 2020.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tQueen Camilla raised eyebrows for her recent interaction with Princess Kate Middleton as the royals met with President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, in the U.K. Camilla, 77, was caught on video in what appeared to be an awkward exchange with Kate, 43, while greeting Melania, 55, at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, September [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

Trump made it clear that after Harry and Meghan left their positions in the royal family that \u201cwill not pay for their security protection\u201d in the U.S. (Harry lost a legal battle for government-funded protection during his visits to the U.K. earlier this year.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Duke and Duchess of Sussex have no plans to ask the U.S. government for security resources,\u201d a rep for Harry and Meghan told Us in March 2020. \u201cPrivately funded security arrangements have been made.\u201d<\/p>\n

That same year, Trump stated that he was \u201cnot a fan\u201d of Meghan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would say this \u2014 and she has probably heard that \u2014 I wish a lot of luck to Harry because he\u2019s going to need it,\u201d Trump shared. His comment came after Harry and Meghan appeared in a September 2020 video that urged U.S. citizens to vote in the election that year.<\/p>\n

When questions about Harry\u2019s immigration status<\/a> were raised earlier this year, Trump took it as another opportunity to take a dig at Meghan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll leave him alone. He\u2019s got enough problems with his wife.
