The company notes that \u201cthe United Kingdom Government\u2019s decision to revoke Botswana\u2019s visa-free status reflects its sovereign right to review and adjust border and immigration policies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The investment migration firm contextualizes the UK\u2019s action within what it deems as evolving international mobility patterns, noting that \u201cthe Arton Passport Index World Openness Score is down 1.3% this year, evidencing that this action from the UK is part of a wider global trend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Botswana\u2019s CBI program, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imidaily.com\/intelligence\/botswana-cbi-program-records-464-registrations-in-first-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recorded 464 registrations<\/a> (expressions of interest, not applications) in its first week, requires contributions <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imidaily.com\/africa\/botswana-sets-new-cbi-price-floor-at-75k-launches-early-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">between $75,000 and $90,000<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Arton Capital emphasizes that \u201cthe Government of Botswana is committed to ensuring that the program operates with transparency, integrity, and the highest international standards of due diligence.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The firm suggests the program could eventually \u201chelp create new opportunities at home and reduce the need for Batswana to seek a fresh start abroad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The UK\u2019s decision affects immediate travel plans but includes provisions for those with existing bookings. Botswana nationals must now apply through the standard UK visa process, which typically takes three weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Minister for Migration and Citizenship Mike Tapp characterized the relationship between the UK and Botswana as remaining \u201cstrong\u201d despite the visa requirement.
