Coronation Street’s Bernie and Gemma Winter-Brown go all-out to get justice for Asha Alahan next week. They goad Asha’s vile abuser Naomi<\/a> into a fight and then film the altercation \u2013 but could Bernie’s drastic measures backfire for a second time? And will things get even worse when word gets back to Asha’s twin brother Aadi<\/a>?<\/p>\n

Bernie takes action after witnessing how badly Asha has been affected by her abusive encounter with Naomi a few weeks earlier. As Naomi still hasn’t been suitably punished for her actions, Bernie sets out to change that\u2026<\/p>\n

Despite Bernie’s attempts to smoke her out, Naomi is still denying all knowledge of the incident, which happened while Asha was trying to help her in her role as a paramedic. <\/p>\n

So, when Kit Green lets slip that he has read Naomi’s file, and that she has a history of violent behaviour, Bernie sees her chance and jumps at it.<\/p>\n

Later, as Naomi is sitting in the Bistro, Gemma arrives unannounced and plonks herself beside her. Naomi is none too happy about the interloper, so when Gemma then starts firing insults at her, things escalate pretty quickly\u2026<\/p>\n

“Bernie is busy filming the pair as things start to reach fever pitch,” our source says. “However, Toyah has realised what the pair are up to and has alerted Dev, but by the time he and Kit arrive, there is a full-on three-way catfight under way between Bernie, Gemma and Naomi!<\/p>\n

“The girls have certainly managed to rile their enemy, but will their plan work?”<\/p>\n

Never one to do things by halves, Bernie is quick to post the video of the altercation online, but unfortunately has failed to tell Asha of her plan, or the fact that she’s posted the video.<\/p>\n

When Bernie shows Asha her handiwork, the girl is mortified, especially as the footage sees Dev berating Naomi for driving his daughter to a suicide attempt.<\/p>\n

Later, we discover Bernie’s rash actions have also upset another member of the family.<\/p>\n

Dev reveals to Bernie that Aadi has seen the video and is hurt and worried that his twin sister tried to take her own life and his family didn’t let him know. As Bernie looks at the damage she’s caused, her guilt overwhelms her.<\/p>\n

“As always, Bernie has acted without thinking things through,” says our insider. “Her love and loyalty to Dev’s family cannot be disputed, but her actions have seemed to cause more damage than good recently.<\/p>\n

“But will it all be worth it this time if her video evidence manages to bring vile Naomi to justice?”<\/p>\n
