He now leads the Bosnian star 2-0 in the pair\u2019s Lexus ATP Head2Head series.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am feeling good and better now the match is over and I won,&#8221; said Auger-Aliassime, who is 38-20 on the year according to the Infosys ATP Win\/Loss Index. &#8220;It was a tough day for different reasons and you just have to fight and get through. It was three hours but a lot of fun.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Auger-Aliassime has fond memories competing in Belgium, having won the title in Antwerp in 2022 before the ATP 250 event relocated to Brussels in 2025. The 25-year-old has been close to his best in recent months, reaching the semi-finals at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/tournaments\/us-open\/560\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">US Open<\/a> and the quarter-finals at ATP Masters 1000 events in Cincinnati and Shanghai.<\/p>\n<p>With his latest win, Auger-Aliassime cemented his spot in 10th in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin. He is on 2,955 points, trailing eighth-placed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/lorenzo-musetti\/m0ej\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lorenzo Musetti<\/a> by 530 points. Auger-Aliassime, who is chasing his second appearance at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/tournaments\/nitto-atp-finals\/605\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nitto ATP Finals<\/a>, will play <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/botic-van-de-zandschulp\/v812\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Botic van de Zandschulp<\/a> or American qualifier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/eliot-spizzirri\/s0ja\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eliot Spizzirri<\/a> in the last eight.<\/p>\n<p>Musetti, the Brussels top seed, kept pace by beating qualifier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/yannick-hanfmann\/h997\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yannick Hanfmann<\/a> 7-6(3), 7-5 later on Thursday. With the win, Musetti became the seventh man to reach 10 tour-level quarter-finals this season and the third Italian quarter-finalist at the Brussels ATP 250 after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/andreas-seppi\/sa93\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andreas Seppi<\/a> (2016) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/jannik-sinner\/s0ag\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jannik Sinner<\/a> (2019, 2021).<\/p>\n<p>The Italian converted the only break point of the match for either player at 5-5 in the second set. He hit six aces and won 84 per cent (37\/44) of his first-serve points, according to Infosys ATP Stats.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/news\/it-all-adds-up-hub\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"It All Adds Up\" style=\"width:100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1760657415_928_it-all-adds-up-banner.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the opening match of the day, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/giovanni-mpetshi-perricard\/m0gz\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard<\/a> advanced to the quarter-finals after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/nikoloz-basilashvili\/bg23\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nikoloz Basilashvili<\/a> was forced to retire. The fifth-seeded Frenchman led Basilashvili 7-5 when play was halted at the ATP 250.
