BRITISH classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail has been slapped with trigger warnings ahead of its 50th anniversary re-release – alerting fans to \u201cbad language\u201d including \u201cbum, tit, and Christ\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The film, considered one of the greatest comedies of all time, has become the latest to be hit with cautions about \u201cdiscriminatory language\u201d and \u201crude humour\u201d.<\/p>\n

Rated a 12A, the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has flagged the word \u201cpansy\u201d, and warned: \u201cThere are passing references to genitals, and animations showing men holding trumpets in their bottoms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moderate \u201cbad language\u201d includes \u201ctit, tart, bint, git and God\u201d and the \u201cbrief aftermath\u201d of sword fights result in the \u201csight of blood\u201d.<\/p>\n

It comes as the movie is being aired in cinemas to mark 50 years since it was first released in 1975.<\/p>\n

Monty Python<\/a> stars Michael Palin<\/a> and John Cleese<\/a> have previously blasted \u201csilly\u201d woke culture<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Award-winning actor Palin, 81, who was knighted in 2019, hit back at comments by BBC<\/a> comedy commissioner Shane Allen that Monty Python<\/a> \u201cwouldn\u2019t be six Oxbridge white blokes\u201d if the comedy troupe were cast today.<\/p>\n

Palin said: \u201cIt\u2019s been 50 years. Talk about beating us up when we\u2019re down.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was obviously manoeuvred into saying something silly.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that new shows have to be \u201cchecked for political correctness\u201d and \u201cdiversity\u201d.<\/p>\n

Co-star John Cleese, 85, previously slammed woke culture for having a \u201cdisastrous\u201d effect on comedy.<\/p>\n

The veteran funnyman said comedians are too worried about offending people with jokes, resulting in the \u201cdeath of creativity\u201d.<\/p>\n

Cleese said: \u201cI think it\u2019s particularly worrying at the moment because you can only create in an atmosphere of freedom, where you\u2019re not checking everything you say critically before you move on.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re worried about offending people and constantly thinking of that, you are not going to be very creative, so I think it has a disastrous effect.\u201d<\/p>\n

A string of British classics have recently been hit with trigger warnings, including Doctor Who<\/a> and even the Three Little Pigs<\/a> nursery rhyme.<\/p>\n

The BBFC has been contacted for comment.<\/p>\n
