Courteeners have confirmed they’ll be playing a huge on-off show Wythenshawe<\/a> Park next summer.<\/p>\n

This morning, the indie-rock outfit announced they’ll play the 26,000 capacity venue on Saturday, 29 August 2026. Before the band play, they will be supported by an incredible line up of bands including The Vaccines, The Coral, Get Down Services and Girl In The Year Above.<\/p>\n

Courteeners are Liam Fray, Conan Moores, Michael Campbell with touring members Joe Cross and Elina Lin.<\/p>\n

Since releasing their debut album St. Jude in 2008, they have become one of the most loved bands in Britain, building a huge community around their sold out shows that has seen them consistently play to packed houses and fields up and down the country.<\/p>\n

Across their two-decade long career, the band have had consistent commercial success and the band\u2019s most recent album – 2024\u2019s Pink Cactus Caf\u00e9 – received critical acclaim.<\/p>\n

The album, which was released last October, was co-produced by Fray and features contributions from DMA\u2019S, Brooke Combe, James and Ian Skelly (The Coral), Pixey, Charlie Salt (Blossoms), Ola Modupe-Ojo (Bipolar Sunshine) and Theo Hutchcraft (Hurts).<\/p>\n

Charting in the UK at No 2 in the UK Official Album Chart, it was followed by a sold-out arena tour of the country.<\/p>\n

Yesterday (October 16), Courteeners<\/a> shared a post on Instagram to their 52,500 followers which led fans to say they \u2018can\u2019t cope\u2019. Featuring a neon pink outline of the UK map, the video zoomed in as an flashing arrow pointed towards the Greater Manchester area<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The short clip then ended with the caption: \u201cSee you on the 17th. 17.10.25.” As expected, fans went into overdrive with their own theories and ideas on what could be set to take place.<\/p>\n

One fan also submitted the video into ChatGPT to find out what the AI service predicted. Recognising the arrow was ‘positioned slightly to the east of central Manchester’, it suggested the Etihad Stadium<\/a> or Co-op Live<\/a> as contenders too.<\/p>\n

In 2015, the band played Heaton Park<\/a> with a show that was supported by a number of acts including Blossoms. All 25,000 tickets for the show sold out within just 40 minutes.<\/p>\n

Their most recent homecoming show was at Co-op Live in November last year<\/a>, as part of their UK tour to promote their seventh album.<\/p>\n

How to get tickets to see Courteeners at Wythenshawe Park<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tickets for the show go on-sale 10am on Friday, 24 October 2025 – they will be available from Gigs and Tours.com<\/a> and Ticketmaster<\/a>.<\/p>\n
