Leeds United are making plans ahead of the January transfer window as a result of their mixed start to the Premier League season so far.<\/strong><\/p>\n Daniel Farke\u2019s side have picked up two wins, two draws and three defeats from their first seven games, lifting them to 15th in the table in the season\u2019s early stages.<\/p>\n As a result, Football Insider<\/strong> revealed on 14 September that Farke is planning to strengthen in January<\/a> with key positions highlighted for improvement.<\/p>\n Following their promotion last season, Leeds are considering dipping into the Championship to poach the top talents and add further depth and quality to their team.<\/p>\n Ahead of the January transfer window, Leeds are now considering reigniting their interest in long-term target Gustavo Hamer to bolster their midfield.<\/p>\n As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a><\/strong>, Hamer is still on Leeds\u2019 radar, although it is unclear whether they will be willing to make a move in January given what is expected to be a lofty price tag set by Sheffield United.<\/p>\n This comes after former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider<\/strong> in August that Leeds have been keeping tabs on Hamer<\/a> with a deal in mind.<\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n Speaking on the Inside Track podcast<\/strong>, I explained: \u201cI think they\u2019ll definitely always be interested in someone like Gustavo Hamer. <\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a top player, one of the best players in the championship. He\u2019s been on Leeds\u2019 radar before. <\/p>\n \u201cWhether Leeds would be willing to spend the big money that Sheffield United would demand for Hamer that remains to be seen. <\/p>\n \u201cSo yeah, he\u2019s somebody that Leeds have looked at in the past. <\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think he\u2019s top of their priority list right now.
