A person has died on the Elizabeth line near west London this afternoon (Friday, October 17). Transport for London<\/a> says that there is no service running between Paddington and Heathrow or Reading.<\/p>\n The person was found on the tracks at Hanwell railway station, after police were called to reports of a casualty there at 12.15pm today. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the incident is not being treated as suspicious and that a file is being prepared for the coroner.<\/p>\n There also also minor delays on the Elizabeth line between Whitechapel and Abbey wood following the incident. There is a good service running on the rest of the line.<\/p>\n You can follow our live coverage of all the delays and disruption on the London Underground here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called at around 12.15pm today (17 October) to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Hanwell railway station.<\/p>\n “Officers responded with paramedics, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
