\n However, the settlement occurred too late in the week for timetables to be adjusted, leading to the cancellation of several Scottish services this weekend.\n<\/p>\n

\n CrossCountry trains will no longer call at Dunbar or Berwick-upon-Tweed; and all services north of Edinburgh<\/a>, including to Glasgow and Aberdeen<\/a>, have been cancelled.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\n CrossCountry\u2019s Managing Director, Shiona Rolfe, said: \u201cThough we are pleased to have made progress in our negotiations with RMT colleagues, I am sincerely sorry for the significant disruption that customers will nonetheless experience this Saturday 18 October.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cTimetabling processes require train operators to finalise planned services several days in advance, which means that we are not able to reinstate a normal timetable for CrossCountry services in time for Saturday.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\n She added: \u201cI would urge all those planning to travel on CrossCountry routes this Saturday to check options to change or cancel their journey at no cost on the CrossCountry website.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\n An RMT spokesperson said: \u201cWe have suspended strike action this Saturday after making progress in talks.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cWe are still in dispute and seeking a negotiated settlement.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
