Sydney Sweeney<\/a> made sure all eyes were on her as she attended the premiere of her new film Christy at the BFI London Film Festival on Friday.<\/p>\n

The actress, 28, looked sensational as she walked the red carpet in a bubblegum pink dress for the glitzy event.<\/p>\n

The gorgeous\u00a0Alexander McQueen gown boasted a delicate lace neckline with shimmering sequins, which flowed into a soft, ruffled skirt and included a pretty train detail.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It featured a dramatic corset-style satin bodice in pale pink with boning and a ruched bust, highlighting the young star’s petite frame.<\/p>\n

She wore her caramel blonde locks in loose waves over her shoulders and opted for a soft palette of makeup.<\/p>\n

Joining Sydney at the premiere was her co-star Ben Foster along with her brother Trent Sweeney.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Over the years, Trent, 25, has posted pictures from other premieres and promotional posts for her projects.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sydney is unrecognisable in the upcoming boxing biopic, where she plays\u00a0boxing legend Christy Martin who became\u00a0America’s most well-known female boxer in the 1990s before her husband’s attempt to murder her in 2010.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For the role, Sydney made a remarkable transformation,\u00a0piling on 30lbs<\/a>\u00a0in just three and a half months.<\/p>\n

The film made its world premiere to critical acclaim at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and\u00a0already scores 72% on Rotten Tomatoes.<\/p>\n

Sydney told\u00a0Deadline<\/a>\u00a0about putting on weight saying: ‘I absolutely loved it. I truly felt Christy\u2019s power as I transformed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘And I really enjoyed being able to train and work with incredible boxing coaches and weight trainers and nutritionists that helped me get to the place that I was for Christy.’<\/p>\n

To achieve her metamorphosis, the Hollywood fixture\u00a0underwent a staunch training regimen that involved three workouts a day for three months.<\/p>\n

She was joined by the boxing legend at TIFF, telling press she ate ‘a lot of Chick-fil-A, a lot, a lot of Smucker’s, a lot of milkshakes’ and ‘a lot of protein shakes’ while preparing for the role.<\/p>\n

The American star added: ‘But it was incredible being able to completely embody such a powerful woman. I felt even stronger.
