Beginning April 19, 2026, British Airways is launching nonstop service from St. Louis Lambert International Airport to London Heathrow Airport, operating four flights a week during the summer season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Regional leaders joined together earlier this month to make the announcement, including St. Louis County Executive Sam Page, St. Louis City Mayor Cara Spencer, representatives from the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, the St. Louis County Port Authority, former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland Kevin O\u2019Malley and airport leadership.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this direct flight, we are connecting the St. Louis region to one of the world\u2019s most popular destinations and growing our global reach,\u201d Page said in a statement. \u201cFrom the Gateway Arch to the Tower of London, this new flight will increase tourism and help meet the needs of the companies that do business here and in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Page also thanked Lambert International Airport Director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge and her team for their leadership. The announcement comes as the airport undergoes a major expansion, part of a broader master plan aimed at maximizing land use, attracting new business and supporting long-term regional growth. This route marks the airport\u2019s second transatlantic flight service. In 2022, Lufthansa Airlines began direct flights from St. Louis to Frankfurt, Germany and recently announced it will increase service to five flights per week beginning June 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cExpanding connectivity is critical to our work to grow St. Louis, and securing this new nonstop service to London will greatly increase our ability to attract international investment and to showcase St. Louis on the global stage,\u201d said Greater St. Louis Inc. Interim CEO Dustin Allison. \u201cCoupled with Lufthansa\u2019s recent announcement of expanded service to Frankfurt, Germany, we are showing the international community that St. Louis is a place to which they need to be connected.\u201d<\/p>\n

Page said the new nonstop flight will strengthen international tourism, along with the economical benefits.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis new direct flight to London will showcase that the St. Louis region is a global player when it comes to doing business,\u201d Page said in a press release. \u201cSt. Louis is a great city.
