This year, the WWE group got their own on both coasts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Universal Orlando Resort\u2019s version of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/2025\/07\/29\/wyatt-sicks-maze-universal-studios-halloween-horror-nights\/85426092007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WWE Presents: The Horrors of the Wyatt Sicks<\/a> opens with\u00a0a sea of carnage. Someone appears to have gone on a killing spree backstage, at a wrestling match.\u00a0Fans will recognize the scene as mirroring the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8AZCEQ_3nZU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wyatt Sicks\u2019 debut on WWE \u201cRaw\u201d<\/a> last year, while newcomers will just know they\u2019re in for something disturbing \u2013 right up\u00a0late <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/2023\/08\/25\/bray-wyatt-legacy-top-wwe-moments\/70673992007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Windham Rotunda\u2019s<\/a> alley.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was one of Windham&#8217;s ultimate goals and dreams is to have a house at Halloween Horror Nights,\u201d his younger brother and fellow wrestler <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/2024\/10\/18\/bo-dallas-continuing-brother-bray-wyatt-legacy\/75734976007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Taylor Rotunda<\/a> told USA TODAY. \u201cI mean, he said that in 2008 before he even created the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wwe.com\/superstars\/bray-wyatt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bray Wyatt character<\/a>. I\u2019m like, \u2018What are you even talking about? How are you going to pull that off?\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1jzcWBJyeDw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">former WWE champion<\/a>, who most fans knew as Bray Wyatt, loved horror and leaned into the dark side throughout his career, both in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wwe.com\/inside\/the-wyatt-family-creepy-photos#fid-26611993\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wyatt Family<\/a> wrestling stable and later solo as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SqowgecqU_Y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Fiend,<\/a> a masked horror character in its own right.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As it so happens, Mike Aiello, Universal Orlando Resort&#8217;s senior director of Entertainment Creative Development, is a lifelong pro-wrestling fan. When he excitedly posted about the Fiend\u2019s debut in 2019, Windham sent him a direct message, and it began a years-long conversation about horror, wrestling and collaborating.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Then unexpectedly in 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/2023\/08\/24\/bray-wyatt-dies-age-36\/70673549007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Windham passed away<\/a> at age 36.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a shock. It was horrible,\u201d said Aiello. But it wasn\u2019t the end.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Windham\u2019s legacy lives on through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/2024\/06\/18\/wyatt-sicks-members-uncle-howdy-wwe-stars\/74144394007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wyatt Sicks<\/a> and their house, which is unlike any other in Halloween Horror Nights history.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Who are the Wyatt Sicks?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Wyatt Sicks are a wrestling stable whose\u00a0characters were born of Windham\u2019s imagination.\u00a0They were first introduced years ago, as puppets on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZoR0c8ryAsA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;Firefly Fun House,\u201d<\/a> a series of WWE promo videos he created, leading up to the Fiend\u2019s debut.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They include Uncle Howdy (who\u2019s portrayed by Taylor) Ramblin&#8217; Rabbit (who\u2019s portrayed by former Wyatt Family member Eric Rowan), Mercy the Buzzard (who\u2019s portrayed by Dexter Lumis), Huskus the Pig Boy (who\u2019s portrayed by Joe Gacy), and Abby the Witch (who\u2019s portrayed by Nikki Cross). Taylor said Windham handpicked each one.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When the group debuted as fully realized characters last summer, Aiello said it was like \u201ca haunted house on live TV,\u201d with each member emerging from the dark, surrounded by bloody bodies. This was the spark that\u00a0reignited the discussions that would make Windham&#8217;s dream a reality.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"related-link\"><strong style=\"margin-right:3px\">Bray Wyatt was a creative genius: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/2023\/08\/25\/bray-wyatt-legacy-top-wwe-moments\/70673992007\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">His risks more than paid off<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Horrors of the Wyatt Sicks \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Universal Orlando\u2019s house takes guests into the group\u2019s TV debut, through the Firefly Fun House and rooms inspired by each Wyatt Sicks member, as well a cabin representing the Wyatt Family compound.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Walking through that section was very emotional for me, in the best possible way,\u201d Rowan recalled. Both Windham and their other teammate\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=chhdRxKGeWA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jonathan Huber<\/a> (who was known as Luke Harper and later Brodie Lee) have since passed away. \u201cIt brought a smile to my face, you know. It made me sad, all at once.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Like the other rooms in the house, it\u2019s full of Easter eggs, including a white sheep\u2019s mask like the one Rowan wore in the Wyatt Family. In another room, a grandfather clock is set to 7:13, a nod to the Wyatt Family\u2019s main roster debut in July 2013.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis isn\u2019t just a simple wrestling story. That\u2019s not how my brother\u2019s brain worked,\u201d Taylor said. \u201cGo through it 100 times, and you\u2019ll see something new every time, I\u2019m sure.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was so locked in at looking at all the details,\u201d Lumis said. \u201cI saw a poster. It looked like a retro poster of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VrE993E5PU0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dexter Lumis vs. The Miz,<\/a> and then I looked to my right and there&#8217;s like a dead Miz corpse, and I just lost it laughing.\u201d Lumis\u00a0actually worked at Universal Orlando for years while training to become a pro wrestler and said he attended many Halloween Horror Nights, never imagining he\u2019d be part of a house.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Guests encounter scareactors portraying each Wyatt Sicks member and The Fiend, but not Bray Wyatt.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did not want any actor playing Bray. Fiend is in there, but there&#8217;s a mask. That&#8217;s a whole different persona,\u201d Aiello said. \u201cBut Bray, who is the closest to being Windham, that was a mandate that I put on our team as well, that we&#8217;ll only use video that he did while playing these characters. We&#8217;ll hear his voice. We&#8217;ll do pictures on the wall.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Windham is also represented by a lantern in a gently\u00a0rocking chair, like the iconic prop he carried as Wyatt, which the Wyatt Sicks carry on.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For the fans\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Their fans, who are known as Fireflies, are part of the Horrors of the Wyatt Sicks, too. At matches, they shine the lights on their phones like fireflies in the dark. In the house, they\u2019re represented as starry lights, a firefly painting (Windham was an avid painter), and a full-size Firefly scareactor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was mind-blowing to make the Fireflies a physical being,\u201d Taylor said with a smile.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Fireflies are a big part of Windham and the Wyatt Sicks\u2019 journey.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is like the first time in my career \u2013 and I\u2019ve been doing this for 20 years \u2013 to where when our music hits, when we walk out together, I have goosebumps,&#8221; Lumis said. \u201cWith this particular iteration of my character and working with these people, these special people in this group, you really feel like something is watching over you, and I believe it\u2019s Windham and I believe it\u2019s Jon, and they\u2019re proud of us and the crowd can sense that.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fans can also feel it in the house.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt really strikes an emotional chord, unlike any Halloween Horror Nights house we&#8217;ve ever done before,\u201d said Ramon Paradoa, show director for Creative Development at Universal Orlando.
