Tottenham Hotspur have some talented young players and one of them has been backed for selection ahead of the 2026 World Cup.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Luka Vuskovic<\/a> is one of the most exciting talents Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> have on their hands. The defender hit headlines last season after bagging seven goals and two assists for Westerlo in the Belgian Pro League.<\/p>\n

Vuskovic joined up with the Tottenham first-team squad<\/a> during the summer and impressed with a goal and assist in his first club appearance against Reading. <\/p>\n

The Croatian has since been playing for Hamburg in the Bundeliga and his success has continued. Vuskovic recently won the Bundesliga rookie of the month award<\/a> and he has since been named in the WhoScored team of the season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Croatia manager recently said Vuskovic would be his team\u2019s right back for the next 10 to 15 years<\/a>. Two Croatian journalists who have been watching their country\u2019s under-21s teams share that feeling.<\/p>\n

According to Damir Dobrini\u0107 and Tvrtko Pulji\u0107, Vuskovic is likely to be a contender to make Croatia\u2019s World Cup squad next summer. <\/p>\n

Pulji\u0107 told Sportske Novosti<\/a>: \u201cEm is the youngest, he is also the captain. There is already no dispute about him that he should be on the list for the World Cup.<\/p>\n

\u201cVu\u0161kovi\u0107 is improving in every game, every month, at every gathering, and we will get true value from him for the next ten years.\u201d <\/p>\n

Dobrini\u0107\u2019s comments are not as strong as his fellow journalist\u2019s remarks, but he too believes there is a chance Vuskovic will go to the World Cup next year.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIt would not surprise me, in the variant that Gvardiol will play at left back, if Vu\u0161kovi\u0107 plays in a stopper pair with \u0160utalo.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnything is possible, HSV is playing very well. If Vu\u0161kovi\u0107 makes another step or two, which he is constantly working on, it is not impossible that he will be a starter at the World Cup.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spurs are unlikely to recall Vuskovic in January<\/p>\n

There had been speculation that Tottenham would attempt to bring Vuskovic back to North London a few months earlier than expected. However, Spurs are only allowed to cut Vuskovic\u2019s loan short if they suffer multiple injuries<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As well as this, Vuskovic is happy at Hamburg<\/a> and sees his time in Germany as an important stage in his development. Therefore, it is unlikely he will be seen in a Tottenham shirt this season.<\/p>\n
