The Duke of Sussex<\/a> ended up appearing alongside his wife in the tawdry Netflix<\/a> show, Harry & Meghan, or \u2018docu-series\u2019 as they would prefer to call it, when he could have married a queen of reality television.<\/p>\n

Katherine Ryan<\/a> has revealed that she tried to set up Prince Harry, 40, with Kourtney Kardashian<\/a>, 46, before he met Meghan Markle<\/a>, 43, who was much less famous at the time.<\/p>\n

It happened when Kourtney, 46, attended a party at the London<\/a> home of Katherine\u2019s friend and fellow comedian Jimmy Carr<\/a>. Harry\u2019s cousin Princess Beatrice<\/a> was also a guest at the party in 2016.<\/p>\n

At the time, Harry was single after failed relationships with Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy, and desperate to settle down.<\/p>\n

He had spoken in a television interview about his difficulties in finding love, saying becoming a royal was an unique challenge for a potential bride. \u2018I\u2019m not so much searching for someone to fulfil the role, but obviously, you know, finding someone who would be willing to take it on,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

Speaking about Carr\u2019s party, Katherine, 41, recalls<\/a>: \u2018As soon as I went, in I saw Kourtney Kardashian there with Princess Beatrice.\u2019<\/p>\n

Referring to Kourtney, who stars in Keeping Up With the Kardashians with her sisters Kim and Khloe, Katherine says: \u2018I went straight over to her, because I knew this woman, because I\u2019m so invested in the family and the reality show. And she was so charming and nice to me.\u2019<\/p>\n

At the time, Kourtney was in a tempestuous, on-again, off-again relationship with Scott Disick, with whom she has three children.<\/p>\n

Katherine recalls: \u2018I said, \u201cYou need to leave Scott\u201d. I was right. And she said, \u201cWell, how can I do that? He\u2019s in my house right now\u201d. And I said, \u201cDon\u2019t go back to the house \u2013 you need to leave Scott\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2018She was, like, \u201cWell, I don\u2019t know, who would I even be with?\u201d And I was, like, \u201cPrince Harry, maybe?\u201d This was pre-Meghan.\u2019<\/p>\n

The comedienne explains: \u2018I said Prince Harry because she was in the UK – two royal families uniting.\u2019<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear if Katherine, who is a friend of Princess Beatrice and has met Harry, went on to arrange a date for Kourtney.<\/p>\n

Harry met Meghan after admiring her photographs on Instagram, he said in his memoirs, Spare. He and Meghan had previously claimed they met on a \u2018blind date\u2019 arranged by a mutual friend, thought to be Violet von Westenholz.<\/p>\n
