Following the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, his four adult children enter a heated battle to become the head of the family business in a series full of twists and turns.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">Boasting a cast which includes Say Nothing\u2019s Anthony Boyle, Enola Holmes\u2019 <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/news\/tv\/louis-partridge-house-of-guinness-32553302\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Louis Partridge<\/a>, The Responder&#8217;s Emily Fairn, Normal People\u2019s Fionn O\u2019Shea, Playing Nice\u2019s James Norton and Game of Thrones\u2019 Jack Gleeson, House of Guinness has taken the world by storm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">While many people point to the stars, writers and directors when praising a series\u2019 success, there are often unsung heroes who are essential to it coming together without a hitch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wainwrightfilmandtv.com\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Wainwright Film &amp; TV Services <\/a>have been working hard over the last decade to provide services to both Art Departments and Locations Departments. Transforming sets into immersive environments, the company carefully crafts every detail to enhance storytelling through ground cover, plant hire, woodland services, site clearing and repairs.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/0_DBR_MEN_250925House_15.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>James Norton stars in House of Guinness on Netflix which was shot on location across the north west(Image: Netflix)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">Speaking to <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Manchester Evening News<\/a> about the business was Alex Corkill, who along with his co-founder Richard Wainwright, have been aiding productions through their 25 years of landscaping and forestry expertise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">\u201cWe almost fell into TV, our background is forestry and hard landscaping. We ended up doing stuff on season one of Peaky Blinders in Cheshire. Basically, they kept ringing us with \u2018can you do this and can you do that\u2019. I saw there was a demand for our skillset in the industry. We put adverts out there and over the last 10 years me and my business partner have got traction with it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">\u201cWe\u2019ve been lucky really, we\u2019ve made good contacts with talented people which has given us a lot of opportunities. More and more of those opportunities are coming, especially with Manchester being such a favorable place to film. It\u2019s got some great architecture and locations people want to film here,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">Alex continued: \u201cWe established our business in this about ten years ago, within the last five is when we started picking up much bigger projects on a higher scale. We\u2019re even starting to quote stuff in London. I like film and TV, but ironically because we\u2019re busy and I a little baby, I don\u2019t have that much time to watch!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">Born in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/wythenshawe\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Wythenshawe<\/a>, Alex is \u2018really proud to be from Manchester\u2019 and is adamant that it has \u2018a lot to offer\u2019 TV and film productions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">He explained: \u201cIt was all very much a London thing and I feel like people coming from London didn\u2019t realise what we had to offer and we can deliver projects up here that they thought were only possible to do down there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">\u201cThere\u2019s a growing confidence in the north moving forward that they\u2019re incentivised to use local contractors. Since we\u2019re based in Cheshire, we\u2019re suited to service Liverpool and Manchester.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">\u201cI am very proud to be born and bred here, I feel it has a lot to offer and we want filming productions to come here. To use our architecture and stately homes, hopefully generate a lot of jobs alongside that and bring awareness to the city.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">When it comes to Wainwright\u2019s foray into the world of creating <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/news\/tv\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">entertainment<\/a>, Alex noted that their job is to help bring the art director and a set designer\u2019s \u2018concept and visuals to life in a realistic way\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/0_House-of-Guinness-filming.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>House of Guinness being filmed in Liverpool in 2024(Image: Liverpool Echo)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">\u201cThey\u2019ll come to us and say \u2018this is the tone and mood\u2019, then there\u2019s the restraints on location in terms of time in, time out and budget. It\u2019s our job to help deliver their vision. There\u2019s really talented people who we\u2019re super lucky to work with. Over the last few years, the people we work with have got better productions. It\u2019s going from strength to strength.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">\u201cWe stick with the art department, we\u2019re in before the directors and sometimes we do standby on shooting days where they need some slight redresses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">Recent years have seen members of Manchester and other northern cities becoming more and more excited when big productions come into town, including<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/historic-manchester-arches-double-up-32498553\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> DC\u2019s Clayface<\/a>, which was filmed in Liverpool over the course of several weeks earlier in the year, highlighting on social media the tireless work that goes on behind the scenes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">\u201cPeople are definitely recognising all the cogs in the wheel that are bringing a production together. It isn\u2019t just the people right at the top. It\u2019s everyone, from the bottom all the way up, who makes a production come to life. It doesn\u2019t work without all those moving parts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">\u201cPeople\u2019s interest in our work can be impactful on a city and businesses. You\u2019re banking on the fact that people find it exciting because it can interrupt their day to day lives. If people are behind it, it\u2019s an easier sell for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">Having worked on productions such as <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/happy-valley\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Happy Valley<\/a>, Fool Me Once, After the Flood and Peaky Blinders, Alex said that he often refers to his business as \u2018the bridge between art and reality\u2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">\u201cThey show us the vision and we try to bring it to life. Period dramas are always our bread and butter,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">Looking ahead to the future, Alex teased that Wainwright did work on Netflix\u2019s upcoming <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/historic-greater-manchester-location-hosting-32664016\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Peaky Blinders<\/a> film, but was careful not to give anything away about Thomas Shelby\u2019s final outing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">\u201cI have done stuff in Liverpool, one of the major scenes that they did.
