Chris Davies blamed Jack Robinson\u2019s \u2018lack of discipline\u2019 for Birmingham City\u2019s<\/a> failure to get anything out of their game against Hull City.<\/p>\n Hull became the first visiting team to win at St Andrew\u2019s during Davies\u2019<\/a> tenure in a fiery encounter on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n Robinson\u2019s day started badly when he put through his own net in the 11th minute and the Tigers added further goals from Regan Slater and Joe Gelhardt to seal their 3-2 victory.<\/a><\/p>\n Blues trailed 2-1 and were in the ascendancy in the 59th minute when a goal-kick was awarded instead of a corner after Marc Leonard\u2019s shot deflected behind and Robinson<\/a> voiced his displeasure to referee Ruebyn Ricardo.<\/p>\n The 32-year-old defender was initially shown a yellow card before Ricardo upgraded it to a straight red. Due to this being his second dismissal of the season, Robinson will be banned for Blues\u2019 next four games against Preston, Bristol City, Portsmouth and Millwall.<\/p>\n Davies said: \u201cI\u2019m very disappointed to lose at home in the league for the first time. We were fairly strong in our attacking game in the first half, I thought we looked more dynamic and I wanted us to be a bit more fluid in our attack and have a bit more threat on their goal.<\/p>\n \u201cThere was a lot of that there and again, the two occasions they really got near our goal they scored. We were 2-1 down against the run of play really with very sloppy moments from us in a defensive sense, but if I looked at the half objectively we looked much the better team in terms of our threat.<\/p>\n \u201cDespite being very frustrated about being 2-1 down, naturally it was a case of if we continue to play like that and tighten up on moments when they get near our box, then we\u2019re going to go on and score the couple of goals we need to win this match.<\/p>\n \u201cI was fairly confident in the second half but to lose a player through that lack of discipline is pretty hard to take because it\u2019s ultimately cost us the opportunity to push on.<\/p>\n \u201cWe went to 10v11 and I thought the players did well to generate the chances that they did. They couldn\u2019t have done much more. We pushed right to the very end.<\/p>\n \u201cUltimately, I think that lack of discipline in a key moment has cost us.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s apologised to his teammates for the incident and it\u2019s not something I want from my players, our team, and it\u2019s something that shouldn\u2019t happen.
