An Edinburgh bride who is appearing on the current series of Married at First Sight UK<\/a> has claimed that situations can be ‘edited to look worse than what they are’.<\/p>\n

Leisha Lightbody, 31, has had a rocky start to her marriage with Essex lad Reiss. The couple were shipped off to Thailand <\/a>after tying the knot, where Reiss felt she was jumping ahead a bit too quickly.<\/p>\n

Returning home, the dental marketeer allegedly vomited down herself after a few too many wines. Her new husband <\/a>then watched as she ‘chatted to a random boy for an hour’.<\/p>\n

Leisha was hounded by her fellow castmates at a tense dinner party, though the newlyweds both chose to stay and work on the marriage. While things have been dramatic for them, Leisha has now said editors can ‘create a story’ and exaggerate situations.<\/p>\n

While enjoying a night in, Leisha took to her Instagram and asked her followers to send her any queries. One of her followers asked: “Does MAFS UK portray you and the other couples fairly or harshly because of editing?”<\/p>\n

Leisha answered: “Awk it’s hard, because we all did what we did and we said what we said but they can edit it to make it look worse than what it actually was if that makes sense.<\/p>\n

“They can cut bits out but also we all do interviews after every scene, so that helps the editors create a story so if someone is saying something behind your back they will make that very dramatic on TV.”<\/p>\n

On Tuesday night’s episode (October 14), the couple sat down with the experts, Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling, and Charlene Douglas, to get the situation off their chests.<\/p>\n

During the conversation, in which matchmaker and relationship expert Paul gave the newlyweds some advice on how to deal with issues like this in the future, Leisha revealed she found Reiss could be quite “cold” at times.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Reiss said he didn’t think him and his new wife were ‘as strong’ as they had been before.<\/p>\n

Upon hearing that, Leisha could be seen getting emotional on the couch. She said: “It’s not nice to hear is it. I just feel like it\u2019s been a lot. That\u2019s just my personality and I can\u2019t change my personality, I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

“Obviously I like him a lot, I’m giving it everything and I don\u2019t feel like I’m getting the same back. I want to know his intentions, like when I’m asking questions as well he thinks I’m having a go, I’m not having a go. I\u2019m just trying to figure out what he wants out of life.<\/p>\n

“Am I something that he sees in the future? Cause I know exactly what I want. I really want a family and you know I feel like we\u2019re just on pages at the moment.”<\/p>\n

After the episode aired, many fans were quick to share their thoughts. One took to social media to say: “Why is Leisha always apologising and he sits there all smug.
