PLAYERS from Glenurquhart and Lovat have been selected for the Scotland squad to take on Ireland in the shinty\/hurling international in Inverness on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Lovat have two players Danny Kelly and Craig Mainland named in the men\u2019s squad.<\/p>\n
In the women\u2019s squad, Hazel Hunter from Glenurquhart has been called up for Scotland.<\/p>\n
The double header takes place on Saturday, October 25 at Bught Park in Inverness with the women\u2019s game at noon and the men\u2019s game at 2pm.<\/p>\n
Scotland\u2019s new boss Alan MacRae said: \u201cThe Shinty Hurling International is unlike any other fixture. Selection was<\/p>\n
fiercely competitive this year, which is a credit to the standard of play across our clubs. We know Ireland will be a formidable opponent, but we\u2019re determined to<\/p>\n

Scotland Women\u2019s Manager, said: \u201cWe have a lot of experience in the coaching team so they will help us adapt to the game, we know it will be a lot faster, but we are all looking forward to a great occasion. We know that there will be more of an ariel threat than we are necessarily used to be we have a good squad full of experience.\u201d<\/p>\n
