Meghan Markle<\/a> cried at a charity tennis event to commemorate her friend’s late son. The Duchess and Prince Harry<\/a> attended the annual George Zajfen Tennis Tournament in support of the Alliance of Moms, a community that supports young mothers. The alliance was co-founded by Kelly McKee Zajfen, who, with her family, remembered young George, who died suddenly in 2022 at the age of nine after contracting a viral illness.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Sussex<\/a> posted a video on Instagram<\/a> from the afternoon, showing her in an emotional state as she listened to Kelly’s speech in remembrance of her son. Prince Harry<\/a> stood by her stoically in support. The Duchess, 44, shared highlights from the tennis tournament on Instagram<\/a>, including a photo of her chatting with host Kelly, a friend of more than 20 years who lives nearby in California.<\/p>\n

Meghan and Kelly enjoyed a warm reunion, following a heartfelt post the Duchess’s<\/a> close friend recently shared about her.<\/p>\n

Kelly, a former model who first met Meghan through her ex-husband Trevor Engelson, was asked to name her favourite social media accounts. She placed the Duchess’s personal Instagram<\/a>, @meghan, in third position, describing herself as “endlessly inspired” by her.<\/p>\n

A second question read: “How did you meet Meghan M?! Love seeing you two on here and the joy you bring out in each other.”<\/p>\n

Highlighting a close friendship over many years, Kelly wrote: “Ahh thank you! I’ve actually known her for almost 20 years? She even came to my wedding (15 years ago) and she’s been the most amazing, nurturing, fun, loving human.<\/p>\n

“She’s been by my side especially since Georgie died and I cherish our friendship very much.”<\/p>\n

A later Instagram<\/a> story showed Harry, 41, giving his daughter Lillibet, four, a big hug and smiling to the camera, with the caption, “Our other favorite Lily”.<\/p>\n

At the tournament, Meghan wore a sleeveless white belted midi dress with black buttons.
