Storms surge, waves crash into buildings, and floodwaters inundate the landscape. All the works are related, some showing a close-up of the fish accompanying the floods. In contrast, others are zoomed out as dramatic sunlight hits the storm\u2013impacted building, and tiny beings can be seen ascending in these meticulously painted scenes. <strong>Until 1st November.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aliceamati.com\/danielle-fretwell-tablescapes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Danielle Fretwell: Tablescapes at Alice Amati<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Installation-view-of-Danielle-Fretwell-_-Tablescapes-2025-at-Alice-Amati-Londono-_-Photo-Tom-Carter-.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-330127\"  data-\/><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re always intrigued by what\u2019s just out of sight, concealed by a sheet or cloth. <a href=\"https:\/\/fadmagazine.com\/tag\/danielle-fretwell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Danielle Fretwell<\/a> ignites our curiosity by covering large sections of her paintings, leaving us to wonder what\u2019s underneath. She completes the illusion by painting a textured piece of fabric over the original image. In these latest works, the idea of concealment extends to segments of darkness or layers superimposed on one another, creating pieces that are visually striking and pique our curiosity.\u00a0<strong>Until 8th November.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.frieze.com\/fairs\/frieze-sculpture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frieze Sculpture at Regent\u2019s Park<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"733\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Abdollah-Nafisi.-Image-courtesy-Frieze.-Photo-Linda-Nylind-1200x733.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-330124\"  data-\/><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a strong year for Frieze sculpture with a lot of work referencing nature. <a href=\"https:\/\/fadmagazine.com\/tag\/Assemble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Assemble\u2019s<\/a> giant wolf is made from materials gathered from the park. Abdoallh Nafisi\u2019s work asks us to listen to nature, and Reena Saina Kallat lets us listen to the sounds of extinct birds. There are playful elements too, including <a href=\"https:\/\/fadmagazine.com\/tag\/elmgreen-dragset\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elmgreen &amp; Dragset\u2019s<\/a> tower of life preservers and <a href=\"https:\/\/fadmagazine.com\/tag\/Erwin-Wurm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Erwin Wurm\u2019s<\/a> elongated blue suit. Even better, it sticks around after the fair has left Regent\u2019s Park. <strong>Until 2nd November.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.houldsworth.co.uk\/exhibitions\/165-shaquelle-whyte-winter-remembers-april\/press_release_text\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shaquelle Whyte: Winter Remembers April at Pippy Houldsworth Gallery<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1141\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Shaquelle-Whyte_Prometheus-bound-sky-burial_2025_PH12748_300dpiL-1200x1141.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-330126\"  data-\/><\/p>\n<p>A shoal of carp swim around the feet of a boy in a living room, figures dance around a fire, and vultures pick at the body of a lying person. There\u2019s a wonderful sense of movement in <a href=\"https:\/\/fadmagazine.com\/tag\/Shaquelle-Whyte\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shaquelle Whyte\u2019s<\/a> latest paintings that makes you wonder whether it\u2019s one or several figures we\u2019re observing. As with much of his work, the paintings centre on Black male figures, which have been largely ignored in art history. <strong>Until 8th November.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/newvisionartgallery.com\/collections\/st-james-market-pavilion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Vision Art Gallery and Alsama Project at St James\u2019s Market Pavilion<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Alsama-Project-at-St.-James-Market-1200x900.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-330128\"  data-\/><\/p>\n<p>If you want to see an example of why art matters, then head over to St James\u2019s Market Pavilion. Teenagers created all these artworks in either a refugee camp in Lebanon or in Haiti, where they were provided with art supplies.
