Police are investigating reports a teenage girl was threatened and raped by a man after being taken into a wooded area on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
Forensics teams remained at the scene of the incident on Tunbridge Wells Common on Sunday evening, with detectives appealing for witnesses to come forward.<\/p>\n

It was reported the girl was sexually assaulted by an unknown man between 8pm and 9.45pm.<\/p>\n
Police say he approached the girl as she was walking home along Victoria Road.<\/p>\n
They walked together towards Mount Ephraim, at which point it is alleged the man took the victim into a wooded area and made threats before raping her.<\/p>\n
The suspect is described as white, about 5ft 8in and in his mid-30s.<\/p>\n
He has dark hair, worn in a bun, a short goatee beard and a moustache. He was wearing a blue jacket with an orange drawstring bah and was travelling on a bicycle with thick tyres at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n
Officers are continuing to pursue several enquiries to establish the full circumstances, including forensic analysis at the scene, checks for CCTV opportunities and extensive house-to-house enquiries.<\/p>\n

Police remain in the area while investigations are underway.<\/p>\n
