Both are significant parts of Bangla culture.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Bangladeshi-born Khan opened Clippers, Dalkeith\u2019s first Indian restaurant in 1996, before launching Itihaas eleven years later.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Syed Belal Ahmed, Editor of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.currylife.uk\/about-us\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Curry Life Media Group<\/a>, commented on the high standards of this year&#8217;s winners: \u201cThe UK&#8217;s curry industry features some of the country&#8217;s most innovative entrepreneurs and restaurateurs.
