Prince William is reportedly taking the strongest stance possible against his uncle Prince Andrew after the disgraced royal lost his royal title<\/a> over his ongoing scandal regarding his ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n

The Prince of Wales, 43, plans to ban Andrew from all aspects of royal life \u2014 including his coronation \u2013when he becomes king, the Sunday Times reported<\/a> in an article published Saturday.<\/p>\n

William was reportedly \u201cconsulted\u201d on the decision for Andrew, 65, to give up his royal titles and honors, but he\u2019s not \u201csatisfied with the outcome\u201d and plans to take harsher action in the future.<\/p>\n

Andrew will be \u201cexcluded from public and private royal events, including the coronation, and banned from most state occasions,\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cWilliam considers his uncle a \u2018threat\u2019 and a reputational risk to the monarchy, and is understood to be concerned about the message Andrew\u2019s presence at royal events sends to victims of sexual abuse,\u201d the outlet continued.<\/p>\n

William also reportedly plans to ban Sarah Ferguson \u2014 Andrew\u2019s ex-wife who has stood by the disgraced royal\u2019s side<\/a> \u2014 from royal events.<\/p>\n

William\u2019s rep didn\u2019t immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n

As for the former Duke of York, he agreed on Friday that \u201ccontinued accusations\u201d against him and his connection to Epstein, a convicted sex offender, \u201cdistract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal family,\u201d\u00a0per the Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first,\u201d he wrote in a statement released by Buckingham Palace. \u201cI stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on, \u201cWith His Majesty\u2019s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, he stressed, \u201cAs I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrew noted that this decision was made after \u201cdiscussion with [brother King Charles III] and [their] immediate and wider family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Authorities are investigating Andrew<\/a> after reports surfaced that he asked a police protection officer to dig up information about the late Virginia Giuffre in leaked emails.<\/p>\n

The royal reportedly told his late mother Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s deputy press secretary in 2011 that he gave an officer Giuffre\u2019s US Social Security number and date of birth to look into her alleged criminal record,\u00a0according to the Mail on Sunday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Per the outlet, he allegedly sent the email shortly before a 2001 photo was released of himself with his arm wrapped around Giuffre\u2019s waist when she was 17 years old. Epstein\u2019s ex-girlfriend\u00a0Ghislaine Maxwell \u2014 who was convicted of sex trafficking in 2021 and sentenced to 20 years in prison \u2014 was also in the picture.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear whether the officer complied with Andrew\u2019s request.<\/p>\n

Giuffre\u00a0died by suicide<\/a>\u00a0in April 2025 at the age of 41 after years of accusing Andrew of sexual assault, alleging that he\u00a0was involved in Epstein\u2019s sex trafficking ring<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0raped her<\/a>\u00a0when she was a minor.<\/p>\n

She filed a formal lawsuit against Andrew in 2021, and the case was settled outside of the courtroom in 2022 for an estimated $12 million.<\/p>\n
