WhatsApp now has the Meta AI<\/a> feature automatically installed but you can remove it with one easy step. The messaging app has assured users that its blue circle is optional, despite being unremovable. WhatsApp<\/a> is one of the world\u2019s largest messaging apps and it\u2019s built a huge range of users.<\/p>\n

It confirmed a solution to the Meta AI<\/a> which you can remove, disable and stop entirely. The only way to do this is chat by chat which is the only way to remove the AI<\/a> from your app.<\/p>\n

WhatsApp<\/a> says: \u201cAdvanced Chat Privacy is a new setting available in both chats and groups that helps prevent others from taking content outside of WhatsApp for when you may want extra privacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the setting is on, you can block others from exporting chats, auto-downloading media to their phone, and using messages for AI<\/a> features.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat way everyone in the chat has greater confidence that no one can take what is being said outside the chat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Meta<\/a> has confirmed that it can\u2019t see any message content.<\/p>\n

Meta has attracted criticism following its roll-out of Meta AI in WhatsApp. It appears as its own chat, and will gradually work its way down your list of active conversations if you ignore its existence, reports Evening Standard.<\/p>\n

When you engage AI<\/a>, Meta says it \u201cshares information with select partners so Meta Al<\/a> can offer relevant responses.\u201d<\/p>\n

As such, it warns, \u201cdon\u2019t share information, including sensitive topics, about others or yourself that you don\u2019t want the Al to retain and use.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meta AI<\/a> is a generative AI assistant found across Meta\u2019s services, including WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is similar to chatbots like ChatGPT and Google Gemini – it can reply to users\u2019 prompts, answer questions and even identify the details of photos.<\/p>\n
