{"id":51351,"date":"2025-04-26T05:45:17","date_gmt":"2025-04-26T05:45:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/51351\/"},"modified":"2025-04-26T05:45:17","modified_gmt":"2025-04-26T05:45:17","slug":"birmingham-man-jailed-for-26-years-for-rape-and-assault-of-two-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/51351\/","title":{"rendered":"Birmingham man jailed for 26 years for rape and assault of two children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mohammed Mire, 35, of Moat House Road, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.expressandstar.com\/news\/local-hubs\/birmingham\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Birmingham<\/a>, has been jailed following a trial at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.expressandstar.com\/news\/local-hubs\/wolverhampton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wolverhampton Crown Court<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>It comes after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westmidlands.police.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">West Midlands Police<\/a> officers were contacted in August 2024 about a girl being sexually abused.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.expressandstar.com\/news\/crime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Officers<\/a> carried out immediate enquiries into the incident, and Mire was arrested later the same day.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/b44e4cd0-2deb-4e61-89e9-4a13937e2390.jpg\"   alt=\"Mohammed Mire has been jailed for 26 years for the rape and assault of two children\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"w-full max-w-none\"\/>Mohammed Mire has been jailed for 26 years for the rape and assault of two children<\/p>\n<p>Police discovered Mire was responsible for a catalogue of abuse against two young people starting several years prior.<\/p>\n<p>The 35-year-old was charged with raping a child under the age of 13, three counts of rape of a teenage girl, assault by penetration, threats to kill, and actual bodily harm.<\/p>\n<p>Mire denied all charges, but was found guilty following a trial.<\/p>\n<p>As well as being jailed for 26 years, Mire is also subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, a restraining order, and a notification order under the Sexual Offences Act.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Detective Constable Abbi-Louise Jackson, from the West Midlands Police Child Abuse Investigation Team, said: &#8220;The details in this case are truly horrendous, and those abused have shown immense courage in speaking out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the initial report through to the trial, they have been incredibly brave. We encourage anyone who has suffered abuse to speak to us \u2013 we are here for you.
