Jurgen Klopp<\/a> has admitted a sensational comeback to Liverpool remains “theoretically possible”.<\/p>\n The legendary former Reds boss<\/a> is currently serving as Global Head of Soccer for Red Bull’s football empire<\/a>. Back in January 2024, Klopp delivered a tearjerking announcement to Liverpool’s in-house media that he would be stepping down at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.<\/p>\n The iconic manager<\/a> left Anfield as a decorated champion, having secured the Premier League<\/a> crown, Champions League<\/a> glory, the FA Cup, a pair of League Cups and the Club World Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n During a recent chat, the German tactician was quizzed about whether he’d ever consider a sensational return to Merseyside for another stint, reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n His response suggested the likelihood of him patrolling the Anfield touchline in the Premier League again was remote, though he stopped short of ruling it out entirely.<\/p>\n On the Diary of a CEO podcast, when pressed about a potential homecoming, Klopp revealed: “I said I would never coach a different team in England. So that means if, (I did return to England) then it’s Liverpool. Yeah, theoretically it’s possible.”<\/p>\n Regarding what circumstances might tempt him back to Anfield, he confessed: “I don’t even know exactly. I love what I do now. I don’t miss coaching. I don’t. I do coach but it’s just different, it’s not players.<\/p>\n “I don’t miss it. I don’t miss standing in the rain for two-and-a-half or three hours. I also don’t miss going to press conferences three times a week.<\/p>\n “Having ten or 12 interviews a week, I don’t miss that. I don’t. I don’t miss being in the dressing room. I coached around 1,080 games so I was in the dressing room very, very often.<\/p>\n “I don’t want to die in the dressing room because it smells. It’s these kind of things. I’m 58. From your perspective that might be old, but from other perspective, it’s not that old.<\/p>\n “That means I could make a decision in a few years. I don’t know. Do I have to make a decision today? I will not coach again, but thank God I do not have to do that, I can just see what the future brings.”<\/p>\n He then shifted focus to his Red Bull position and continued: “Now I am involved in a project I really love and I really love the people I am working with, the clubs we are responsible for and the countries the clubs are in.<\/p>\n “I like doing what I am doing right now. In my mind, only if I focus 100% on it, I can do it really good and that’s what I have always wanted to do.”<\/p>\n Liverpool secured the Premier League title under successor Arne Slot after Klopp’s departure.
