{"id":513952,"date":"2025-10-20T08:44:34","date_gmt":"2025-10-20T08:44:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/513952\/"},"modified":"2025-10-20T08:44:34","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T08:44:34","slug":"germany-plans-to-buy-15-more-us-made-f-35-jets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/513952\/","title":{"rendered":"Germany plans to buy 15 more US-made F-35 jets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong> German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius plans to order an additional 15 F-35 fighter jets from U.S. manufacturer Lockheed Martin. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to confidential documents prepared for the parliament\u2019s budget committee, the extra aircraft are expected to cost around 2.5 billion euros ($2.9 billion), <a href=\"https:\/\/news.az\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News.Az<\/a> reports, citing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reuters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Germany has already ordered 35 F-35s to replace its ageing fleet of 85 Tornado fighter jets, which are due to be retired.
