A major broadcaster did not air a sit-down with Prince<\/a> Andrew\u2019s sex accuser because the royal family \u201capplied pressure to nix the interview\u201d and it \u201cfeared losing access\u201d to the Prince and Princess of Wales, Virginia Giuffre<\/a> has claimed in her posthumous memoirs.<\/p>\n

Ms Giuffre said ABC<\/a> News anchor Amy Robach<\/a> was heard on a \u201chot mic\u201d expressing her frustrations that the 2019 interview, in which she claimed to have been \u201ctrafficked\u201d to Andrew, had not been broadcast.<\/p>\n

Her memoirs, titled Nobody\u2019s Girl, said the American<\/a> network \u201chad to reach out to Buckingham Palace\u201d following the sit-down chat but that there was no explanation why Ms Giuffre was \u201cstrung along for weeks\u201d without the interview airing.<\/p>\n

The book reads: \u201cWe were strung along for weeks with no explanation for the delay.<\/p>\n

\u201cFinally, someone from the network told my legal team that because I\u2019d told Robach about being trafficked to Prince Andrew, the network had to reach out to Buckingham Palace and an attorney for Epstein.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy that was causing such delays was unclear.<\/p>\n

\u201cRobach and her producer were outraged. But for whatever reason, ABC never aired the interview.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a footnote, Ms Giuffre went on to say: \u201cFour years later, on November 5 2019, a video of Amy Robach speaking on a \u2018hot mic\u2019 was made public that shed a bit more light on what had happened.<\/p>\n

\u201cRobach said that \u2018every day I get more and more pissed\u2019 that her interview with me didn\u2019t air and that \u2018what we had was unreal\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the recording, Robach said that she was told by higher-ups, \u2018Who\u2019s Jeffrey Epstein? No-one knows who that is. This is a stupid story\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe also said Epstein\u2019s lawyers and the British royal family had applied pressure to nix the interview, suggesting that the networkcaved because it feared losing access to Prince William and Kate Middleton in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrew has vehemently denied any wrongdoing after Ms Giuffre alleged she was forced to have sex with the prince on three separate occasions.<\/p>\n

He later paid millions to his accuser, a woman he claims never to have met, to settle a civil claim in the US in 2022.<\/p>\n
