The Prince and Princess of Wales were allegedly ‘shocked’ by a rumour that Meghan Markle<\/a> had yelled at a member of Palace staff in the lead up to her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry<\/a>, a book has claimed.<\/p>\n While it is well documented that the relationship between the once highly-regarded \u2018Fab Four\u2019 has been on the rocks since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex<\/a> quit their royal duties in 2020, it is believed that cracks started to form between the senior royals several years prior.<\/p>\n A major shift occurred within their relationship as preparations for Harry<\/a> and Meghan\u2019s wedding were underway, with the infamous bridesmaid dress argument causing tension between Meghan and Kate.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie make statement with no-show as Prince Andrew drops titles<\/a>READ MORE: Prince Andrew ‘could not guarantee King there would be no more Epstein claims’<\/a> And it has been claimed by a royal author that William and Kate were “uncomfortable” with Meghan when rumours emerged that she had yelled at a junior member of staff at the Palace.<\/p>\n According to royal expert Tina Brown, the Waleses were \u201crelieved\u201d when the Sussexes relocated to California and took a step back from their royal duties, as Meghan\u2019s treatment of palace staff left them \u201cshocked\u201d.<\/p>\n Writing in her book The Palace Papers, Tina Brown said: William and Kate liked to treat their staff as a collegial professional family. Interviewees for jobs with the Cambridges were struck by how much the principals rely on the steering of their communications team for every decision, big and small. The royal couple was allegedly shocked by the way Meghan treated their shared employees.”<\/p>\n She then detailed the incident in question, writing: \u201cA typically uncomfortable incident had taken place during the roll-out of the wedding plans when I was told Meghan yelled at a junior employee who held an announcement back because it clashed with something scheduled with the household of another senior royal.<\/p>\n \u201cAn insider privy to the pre-wedding incident told me, \u2018I wouldn\u2019t say it was bullying behaviour but I\u2019ve certainly never heard of a member of the Royal Family<\/a> talking like that to a member of staff.\u2019 Harry said he would talk to Meghan, who then apologised.
